BRANDING or CATTLE ORDINANCE, 1865.

NOTICE

Appointing places for Exposing Cattle for Public Inspection.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, December 11, 1865.

In exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent by the “Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865,” I do hereby declare that I have appointed the places below specified to be places at which cattle shall be exposed for public inspection in accordance with the provisions of the said Ordinance:—

  • The Stockyard on the farm of Messrs. A. and A. Kingdon, No. 51, Omata District.
  • The Stockyard on Baldwin’s farm, Omata District.
  • The Stockyard near the north angle of rural allotment No. 35, Omata, otherwise known as Hurford’s farm.
  • The Stockyard on R. Baker’s farm at Mangorei, part of allotment 773, Grey District.
  • The Stockyard on S. Coad’s farm, Upper Mangorei.
  • The Stockyard on M. Carrick’s land, Upper Mangorei.
  • The Omata Pound.
  • The Bell Block Pound.
  • The Pound on Major Atkinson’s Farm at Hurworth.

NOTICE

To Applicants for Crown Grants in exchange for Certificates under the Native Lands Act, 1858.

General Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, November 1, 1865.

APPLICANTS for Crown Grants in exchange for Certificates under the Native Lands Act, 1858 or 1865, are requested to take notice that no Crown Grant will in such case be issued unless a distinguishing number shall have been previously affixed to the section or block of land comprised in the certificate by the Commissioner of Crown or Waste Lands of the Province in which the land is situated.

It will be the duty of the applicant for a Crown Grant to ascertain that such number is affixed as aforesaid before applying for a Grant.
