NOTICE
Declaring the Public Cemetery to be within
the provisions of the “Burial Grounds
Protection Ordinance, 1864.”
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial
Council of Taranaki, intituled “The
Burial Grounds Protection Ordinance,
1864,” it is provided that it shall be
lawful for the Superintendent from time
to time, by notice published in the Govern-
ment Gazette to declare public burial places
within which the provisions of the said
Ordinance shall be in force: Now, therefore,
I, William Northcroft, Esquire,
Deputy Superintendent of the said Pro-
vince of Taranaki, in exercise of the
power given by the said recited Ordinance,
do hereby notify and declare the Public
Cemetery at the Henui, in the said
Province of Taranaki, to be a place within
which the provisions of the “Burial
Grounds Protection Ordinance, 1864,”
shall be in force from the date hereof.
Given under my hand at New Plymouth,
the 2nd day of October, 1865.

Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865.

IN exercise of the authority vested in the
Superintendent by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial Council of
Taranaki intituled the “Branding of Cattle
Ordinance, 1865,” I, HENRY ROBERT RICH-
MOND, Esquire, Superintendent of the Pro-
vince of Taranaki do hereby convene a
General Meeting of the electors of No. 2
District under the said Ordinance, to be
held at the Taranaki Institute in Brougham
street, Town of New Plymouth, on SATUR-
DAY, the fourteenth day of October, at four
o’clock P.M., for the purpose of appointing
Commissioners.
