PROCLAMATION
Of the "Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865."
By His Honor Charles Brown, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.
WHEREAS it is provided by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki intituled the "Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865," that the said Ordinance shall come into operation from the date of the proclamation thereof by the Superintendent in the Government Gazette of the Province. Now therefore, I Charles Brown, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim the said "Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865," to be in operation from the date hereof.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Taranaki, at New Plymouth, this 22nd day of August, 1865.

NOTICE
Constituting districts under the "Branding of Cattle Ordinance 1865."

New Plymouth, August 23, 1865.
In exercise of the authority vested in the Superintendent by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled the "Branding of Cattle Ordinance, 1865," I Charles Brown, Esquire, Superintendent of the province of Taranaki, do hereby constitute the following districts for the purposes of the said Ordinance.
No. 1 District.
The block of land lying between the Waikato river and the eastern boundary of the Bell and Tarurutangi districts, including No. 1 Road District, constituted under the "Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858."
No. 2 District.
The block of land lying between the Henui and Waikatoiho rivers, including part of No. 2 and the whole of Nos. 3 and 10 Road Districts.
