PROCLAMATION,

By CHARLES BROWN, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.

IN exercise of the power vested in me by the Constitution Act, I, Charles Brown, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the 12th Session of the Provincial Council of the said Province of Taranaki shall commence and be held at the Council Chamber, Mount Eliot, in the Town of New Plymouth in the said Province, on Thursday, the 10th day of March instant, at 6 p.m.

Given under my hand at New Plymouth, this 7th day of March, 1864.

TENDERS FOR EARTHWORK.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, 18th Feb., 1864.

THE following Tenders for cutting and removing Earth, &c., were received on the 17th February, 1864, and are published for general information:—

ACCEPTED.

CONTRACT No. 1.—Between Liardet and Gover-streets, @ 10½d. per cubic yard, or a total sum of £89 0 7½.

CONTRACT No. 2.—Between Gover and Elliot-streets, @ 11d. per cubic yard, or a total sum of £114 5 3.

CONTRACT No. 3.—Between Elliot and Watson-streets, @ 10d. per cubic yard, or a total sum of £104 15 10.

No. 1 and 2 to be finished in six weeks or the whole in two months.

REJECTED.

Contracts No. 2 and 3 @ 1s. per cubic yard.
