PROCLAMATION

By His Honor Charles Brown, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.

WHEREAS by the “Ordinances Suspension Ordinance, 1860,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, from time to time by proclamation in the Government Gazette to suspend in districts to be named in such proclamation, the action of any of the Ordinances therein specified or of any section or provision thereof. And whereas by the “Executive Government Ordinance, 1856, Amendment Ordinance,” it is provided that all things that may be done by the Superintendent and Executive Council, may be done by the Superintendent acting on a resolution of the Provincial Council: And whereas by proclamation dated the 20th day of May, 1862, the Superintendent in pursuance of a resolution of the Provincial Council did proclaim and declare that the provisions of the Impounding Ordinance, Impounding Amendment Ordinance, and Fencing Ordinance, 1858, should be suspended within the districts in the said proclamation named.

And whereas it is expedient to declare the said recited Ordinances to be again in operation within the limits hereinafter named. Now therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby in pursuance of a resolution of the Provincial Council, proclaim and declare that the provisions of the said recited Impounding Ordinance, Impounding Amendment Ordinance, and Fencing Ordinance, 1858, shall be again in force from the date hereof within the following limits of the Omata District, (viz.,) all that portion of the said Omata District bounded towards the north by the sea beach, towards the east by the Paritutu line, towards the south by rural allotment No. 4, the Herekawe stream, rural allotments Nos. 34, 39, 32, 31 and 33, and towards the west by the boundary line of the said District.
