✨ Militia Appointments and Exhibition Committee
NEW ZEALAND INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION, 1865.

MILITIA AND VOLUNTEERS.
WHEREAS by Letters Patent under the hand of His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, and the seal of the Colony, a Commission has been appointed for the purpose of devising and carrying out an Exhibition of Agricultural and Industrial Products, and Manufactures of the Colony of New Zealand, and such products and manufactures of other Countries as may be calculated to be useful in the development of the said Colony. And whereas by the aforesaid Letters Patent, authority is given to the Superintendent respectively of the Provinces of the said Colony to appoint in the several Provinces Local Committees, for the purpose of encouraging the production of articles to be exhibited, of transmitting them to Dunedin, and of conducting communication between Exhibitors and the Commissioners. Now therefore, I, Charles Brown, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby appoint the following Gentlemen to be such Local Committee, for the Province of Taranaki, namely:—
- W. M. Crompton, Esq., J.P.
- H. R. Richmond, Esq., J.P.
- E. L. Humphries, Esq.
- S. P. King, Esq., J.P.
- A. S. Atkinson, Esq.
