TENDERS FOR IRON WORK.

Superintendent’s Office,
4th Dec., 1863.

TENDERS are invited for the supply of such Iron Work as may be required by the Provincial Government for the period ending 31st December, 1864.

Tenders will be received at this Office until noon of SATURDAY, the 26th inst.

MILITIA AND VOLUNTEERS.

Colonial Defence Office,
Auckland, 27th Nov., 1863.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the following appointments, viz.:—

In the "Taranaki Rifle Volunteers,"
Richard George Clark Spence to be Surgeon. Date of Commission, 12th Nov., 1863.

In the Taranaki Militia.
Edward Carthew to be Captain. Date of Commission, 23rd Nov., 1863.

NOTICE.

Colonial Secretary’s Office,
Auckland, 23rd Nov., 1863.

THE General Government having frequent occasion to request the Provincial Governments to insert in Provincial Gazettes Notices which appear in the New Zealand Gazette, the practice will for the future be adopted of adding to those Notices, the insertion of which in the Provincial Gazettes is desired, the words "Provincial Gazettes," and the General Government will be obliged if the various Provincial Governments will, when such words are added, insert such notices accordingly, without special request by circular as heretofore.
