charges and expenses the Inspector may be put to in making the necessary alterations to the buildings.

MANURE HEAPS.

  1. All manure heaps in the said Town shall be kept covered by the person owning the same with fresh earth or sand, and if not so kept shall be removed under the orders of the Inspector.

  2. No Pigstyes shall be allowed within the distance of 100 yards of any dwelling-house within the limits of the Town of New Plymouth as defined by the Municipal Police Ordinance, any person infringing this regulation shall be liable to a penalty of £1 for every day that the same shall remain unremoved, after the expiration of 10 days after the publication of this regulation in the Government Gazette.

WASTE WATER.

  1. Soap suds, slops and other waste water shall be emptied into barrels or other suitable vessels for the purpose of being emptied under the orders of the Inspector.

  2. Occupiers of dwellings suffering any waste water of the aforesaid description to flow about their premises or into the adjoining streets, lanes, or public ways shall forfeit and pay a penalty of £1 for every such offence.

PENALTIES.

  1. All penalties hereby imposed under the authority of the “Sanitary Ordinance, 1863,” shall be recoverable in a summary way.

BOUNDARIES.

  1. For the purposes of the said Ordinance the boundaries of the Town of New Plymouth shall be taken to be the Sea beach on the North, the Henui River on the East, Gilbert-street and Downe-street on the South, and Cutfield road on the West.
