PUBLIC FOOTPATHS.

NOTICE.

Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth,
24th September, 1863.

IN exercise of the authority given by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled the “Municipal Police Ordinance, 1862,” I, Charles Brown, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby give notice and declare that the undermentioned Footpaths shall henceforth be deemed and taken to be Public Footpaths within the meaning of an Ordinance of the Lieutenant-Governor and of the Legislative Council thereof, intituled “An Ordinance to provide for the protection of Footpaths in the Colony of New Zealand,” and shall be protected accordingly.

IN DEVON-STREET.

The Footway on the north side of Devon-street from Liardet-street to Gover-street, New Plymouth, of the width of eight feet.

The Footway on the north side of Devon-street from Brougham-street to Queen-street, New Plymouth, of the width of eight feet.

IN BROUGHAM-STREET.

The Footway on the east side of Brougham-street, from the beach to Vivian-street, New Plymouth, of the width of eight feet.

21st September, 1863.

THE undermentioned gentlemen are appointed Members of the Sanitary Board under the provisions of the “Sanitary Board Ordinance, 1863”:

  • Dr. W. A. MacKinnon, 57th Regt.,
  • Henry Maule, A.C.G.,
  • Wm. Morgan Crompton, J.P., &c.,
  • Francis Ullathorne Gledhill, M.P.C.,
  • Robert Parris, J.P.

THE following Ordinance, passed by the Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled,

“Sanitary Board Ordinance, 1863,”
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to leave the same to its operation.
