THE following Ordinances passed by the Provincial Council of Taranaki—
"COMPENSATION FOR ROADS ORDINANCE, 1862,"
"MUNICIPAL POLICE ORDINANCE, 1862,"
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to leave the same to their operation.

PROCLAMATION
By CHARLES BROWN, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.
IN exercise of the power in this behalf in me vested, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the Eleventh Session of the Provincial Council of the said Province shall be held at the Council Chamber, Mount Eliot, in the Town of New Plymouth, in the said Province, and shall commence on Saturday, the twenty-ninth day of November inst., at 2 o’clock P.M.
Given under my hand at New Plymouth, this eighteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

SUPERINTENDENT’S OFFICE.
PERSONS who desire to see the Superintendent in his official capacity are requested to apply, if possible, at the Office, on such days as Outward Mails are not being made up, between the hours of 10 and 12 A.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and of 10 and 12 A.M. and 2 and 4 P.M. on Saturdays.
The days that the Superintendent will be prepared to inspect Roads and other Public Works, will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, weather permitting.
The Superintendent requests that he may not be applied to, either officially or privately on Sundays, except in cases of urgent necessity.

IT is requested that all letters addressed to the Superintendent in his official capacity may be sent to this Office, unless the contents are of urgent importance. Further, that private communications be sent to the Superintendent’s private residence, and not to this Office.
