PROCLAMATION
By CHARLES BROWN, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki.
WHEREAS by the “Thistle Ordinance, 1862,” it is enacted that the Superintendent may by Proclamation direct that the said Ordinance shall come into operation within any district and by the same Proclamation declare the limits thereof. Now therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do proclaim and declare that the provisions of the said “Thistle Ordinance, 1862” shall come into operation within the following districts constituted under the provisions of the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858,” that is to say, Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 districts, being the purchased lands lying between the western boundary line of the Omata block and the eastern boundary line of the Bell and Tarurutangi blocks, and that such operation shall take effect from the first day of November next ensuing.
Given under my hand at New Plymouth, this 29th day of October, 1862.

THE following Bill passed by the Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled, “LOAN AMENDMENT ORDINANCE, 1862,” which Bill was reserved for the signification of the Governor’s pleasure thereon, having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has been pleased to assent to the same.
