Notice is hereby given, that the several lands described in the schedule hereunder will be offered for sale by public auction at the Land Office, Auckland, on Thursday, the 28th day of February next, at twelve o’clock noon.

The undermentioned persons have obtained Licenses to occupy Runs of Crown Land for pastoral purposes:

BANKRUPTCY NOTICES.

In the Insolvent Estate of John Smith, of Auckland, Merchant.

Pursuant to the provisions of "The Insolvency Act, 1864," notice is hereby given that a first meeting of creditors in the above estate will be held at the Supreme Court, Auckland, on Monday, the 18th day of February, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon.

Notice is hereby given that all persons having claims upon the estate of the above-named deceased are requested to send in particulars thereof to the undersigned, on or before the 28th day of February next.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.

The beacon on Point Russell has been removed. Mariners are cautioned accordingly.

TENDERS.

Tenders are hereby invited for the conveyance of mails between Auckland and the Waikato, once a week for twelve months, commencing on the 1st day of April, 1867. Tenders will be received until noon on the 21st day of February, 1867.

Specifications may be obtained on application to the Postmaster-General, Auckland.

PUBLIC WORKS.

The following contracts have been let:

  • Construction of a bridge over the Wairoa River ... John Wilson, Contractor
  • Repairs to the Great South Road ... Thomas Edwards, Contractor

NOTICE.

The General Assembly of New Zealand stands adjourned to Tuesday, the 12th day of March next.
