PROCLAMATION.

In exercise of the power in this behalf in me vested, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the Tenth Session of the Provincial Council of the said Province shall be holden at the Council Chamber, Mount Eliot, in the Town of New Plymouth, in the said Province, and shall commence on Tuesday, the thirteenth day of August instant, at 10 o'clock a.m.

Given under my hand, at New Plymouth, in the Province of Taranaki, this fifth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.

In exercise of the power in this behalf in me vested, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim and extend, for another season, the authority given by Major-General Pratt for the cultivation of the ground between Fort Stapp and the Henui Blockhouse.

TENDERS FOR BUILDING A BRICK CHIMNEY.

TENDERS will be received at this office until Wednesday next, the 7th instant, at noon, for building a Brick Chimney for the Survey Office, Mount Eliot; materials to be supplied by the Government.

Further particulars may be obtained at this office.

NOTICE.

MR. TOM NEWSHAM is appointed Receiver of Cargo for the Province on board vessels in the roadstead, and his receipt for the same will be accepted as binding on the Harbour Department of the Province.
