PUBLIC NOTICE.
Superintendent’s Office,
New Plymouth, 1st November, 1859.
I hereby notified that on Wednesday, the 9th November instant, and on every succeeding Wednesday until further notice, the Sea Beach between the Huatoki River and the outer reef will be used by the Taranaki Volunteer Rifles for ball practice. It is therefore requested that the public will avoid travelling by the beach between Moturoa and the outer reef on the days stated.

ERADICATION OF THISTLE.
Provincial Secretary’s Office,
New Plymouth, 2nd November, 1859.
TENDERS for the Eradication of the Scotch Thistle on the Native Reserves Nos. 3 and 4, in the Mangorei Road, for the term of one year, commencing on the 1st December next, will be received at this office until noon of Saturday, the 26th instant.
Further particulars may be obtained on application at this office.
Tenders to be sealed and endorsed “Tender for Eradication of Thistles.”
