[From the New Zealand Gazette.]

WHEREAS by the “District Courts Act, 1858,” it is provided that there shall be within the Colony, Courts of Record possessing Civil and Criminal Jurisdiction, to be called District Courts, and the Governor is empowered from time to time, by notification in the New Zealand Gazette, to fix the times and places within the District at which every such Court shall be held:

Now, therefore, I, Thomas Gore Browne, Governor of the Colony, do hereby, in pursuance and execution of the said power and authority, fix that Sessions of the District Court of Taranaki shall be held at New Plymouth in the Province of Taranaki on the first Wednesday in each month.

As witness my hand this twenty-second day of July, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-nine.
