bridge will be open for traffic in a few weeks. The Bridge over the Mangorei river, another public work of perhaps less interest, but of great practical importance, which opens a communication to the Waiwakaiho and Hua blocks, has just been completed.

I now declare this Council to be open for the despatch of business.

THE subjoined statement of Rates in arrear, and of the lands in respect of which the same are due, is published pursuant to the provisions in that behalf of an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of Taranaki, intituled the “Roads and Bridges Ordinance, 1858.”
