NEW PLYMOUTH, SATURDAY, JUNE 11, 1859.
PROCLAMATION.
In exercise of the power in this behalf in me vested, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Taranaki, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the Eighth Session of the Provincial Council of the said Province shall be holden at the Council Chamber, in the Town of New Plymouth, in the said Province, and shall commence on Wednesday, the 15th day of June instant, at 2 o’clock p.m.
Given under my hand, at New Plymouth, in the Province of Taranaki, this eleventh day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty nine.

It is notified for general information that a Writ for the Election of a member of the Provincial Council for the Grey and Bell District having been issued in accordance with the provisions of “An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,” the Returning Officer for the said District has returned the said Writ with a certificate to the effect that
JAMES CROWE RICHMOND, of Carrington road, Farmer,
has been duly elected to serve as member of the Provincial Council for the Grey and Bell District.

CUSTOMS SALE.
The following Goods will be Sold by Public Auction, on Friday, the First day of July next, at noon, for duty and warehouse rent, under clause 89 of the Customs Regulation Act of 1858, unless cleared for home consumption or exportation previous to the above date.

K 156—1 Hogshead (ullage) Rum, 46 gallons, 30.7 o.p. Ex Velox, Holford, @ Sydney. Warehoused 6th October, 1855.
Notice is hereby given that the undernominated Condemned Goods will be Sold by Public Auction, at the above time and place,
1 Box containing 72 half-pound flasks of Gunpowder.
