NOTICE.

Provincial Secretary's Office,
New Plymouth, 3rd March, 1858.

WHEREAS, by Proclamation of the
Superintendent made the twenty-
seventh day of October, 1857, the provi-
sions of "An Ordinance for imposing a Tax
on Raupo Houses" were declared to be in
force within certain districts of the Town of
New Plymouth therein described.

Notice is hereby given, that every person
offending against the provisions of the said
Ordinance, by erecting or causing to be
erected, any building constructed wholly or
in part of raupo, nikau, toetoe, wiwi, ka-
kaho, straw, or thatch of any description,
is liable to a penalty of One Hundred
Pounds; to be recovered in a summary way.

their disposal is published for the information of the ratepayers.
