NOTICE.

IN pursuance of the authority vested in me in that behalf by His Excellency Colonel THOMAS GORE BROWNE, Companion of the most Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of New Zealand and its dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c., &c., I, John Yeeden Lloyd, Major of the New Plymouth Battalion of the New Zealand Militia, do hereby call upon every man within the Province of New Plymouth between the ages of Eighteen and Sixty, being British subjects and liable to serve as Militiamen, to assemble for training and exercise at Mount Eliot within the limits of the Town of New Plymouth on Friday the twelfth day of March next at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.

Dated at New Plymouth, this twenty-third day of February 1858.

RURAL LAND SALE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that there will be a periodical sale of Rural Land in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, under the Land Regulations of the Province, at the Crown Lands Office, in the town of New Plymouth, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, on the first day of every month, unless the same fall on a Sunday or on Good Friday, and in that case on the following day.
