Sir,—I transmit enclosed for your Honor's information, two statements shewing

1st. The Amounts payable to the several Provinces of New Zealand, on the distribution of £2000 on account of the Surplus Revenue of the Year ended 30th June 1857.

2nd. The Amounts payable on the distribution of £4000 on account of the Surplus Revenue of the Year ended 30th June, 1858.

and have to inform you that the sums falling due to New Plymouth, have been carried to the credit of the Province in account accordingly.

I beg to refer you to my letter of this date forwarding the Account of the Province of New Plymouth with the General Government, as it at present stands in the books of this Department.

STATEMENT showing the amounts for which the Provinces of New Zealand respectively will be entitled to credit, on the distribution of a further sum of £2,000 on account of the Surplus Ordinary Revenue of the year ended 30th June, 1857.
