mate, if it should be apparent that the real
cost would much exceed the respective
amounts of Β£1500 and Β£2000.
If any two designs should appear to be
equally eligible, the least expensive will be
preferred.
When Colonel Mould shall have decided
as to the eligibility of the designs, the en-
velopes accompanying the designs will be
opened and the premiums paid to the suc-
cessful competitors.
The designs, &c. approved of will be-
come the property of the Provincial Go-
vernment, and the others will be returned
to their respective owners with as little de-
lay as possible.
Further particulars, if required, may be
obtained on application at this Office.

NOTICE is hereby given, that there will
be a periodical sale of Rural Land in
the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred, under
the Land Regulations of the Province, at
the Crown Lands Office, in the Town of
New Plymouth, at 11 o'clock in the fore-
noon, on the first day of every month, un-
less the same fall on a Sunday or on Good
Friday, and in that case on the following
day.
