RURAL LAND SALE.
Superintendent's Office,
New Plymouth, May 19, 1857.
I, GEORGE CUTFIELD, Superintendent of the Province of New Plymouth, do hereby notify that the Rural Lands surveyed and open for purchase in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Hundred will be put up for sale by Public Auction, under the Land Regulations of the Province, at the Crown Lands Office, in the Town of New Plymouth, on Wednesday, the 1st day of July next, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon.

ON the 12th day of May instant, it was resolved by the Provincial Council of New Plymouth—"That under the provisions of the Land Regulations this Council do approve of a Notice to be inserted in the Government Gazette of the Province by the Superintendent, appointing Wednesday the first day of July next, to be the day when the new land in the Hua and Waiwakaiho Districts shall be first opened for purchase."

NOTICE

WHEREAS a Bill to amend the Public Works Ordinance, Session 2, No. 9, is now under the consideration of the Provincial Council, and whereas power is given in the 42nd clause of the said Ordinance to the Superintendent, by Notice, to be published in the Government Gazette, with the approval of the Provincial Council, amongst other things to vary the month in which General Meetings shall be held; Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent, do hereby give notice that the General Meetings for the several Districts shall for the present year be held in the month of June next.

ON the 13th day of May instant, it was resolved by the Provincial Council of New Plymouth—"That the Council approves of the publication in the Government Gazette of the annexed notice varying the month in which General Meetings under the provisions of the Public Works Ordinance, Session 2, No. 9, shall take place in this present year."

NOTICE.

WHEREAS power is given in the 2nd clause of the Public Works Ordinance, Session 2, No. 9, to the Superintendent, by notice to be published in the Government Gazette, with the approval of the Provincial Council, to constitute Districts within which the provisions of the said Ordinance shall be in force, and in like manner to extend, contract, or alter the boundaries of any such District and to revoke the Notice by which any such District shall have been constituted.
Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent, do hereby revoke the Notice constituting Districts for the purposes of the aforesaid Ordinance, dated 25th March, 1856, as well as all former notices for the same purposes, and in lieu thereof I do hereby constitute the following Districts for the purposes of the said Ordinance, namely—
1st District.—All Lands East of the Waiwakaiho as far as the Mangoraka.
2nd District.—All Lands bounded as follows, viz:—On the North by the sea, on the East by the River Waiwakaiho, on the South by the southern boundary of the Native Reserve, No. 3, and by the northern boundary of so much of the Avenue Road as is within the said Reserve, on the West by the western boundary of the said Reserve to its junction with the river Henui at the northwest corner of the said Reserve; thence by the said river to the sea.
3rd District.—All Lands bounded as follows, viz:—On the North by the Town, on the East by the River Henui to its junction with the northwest corner of the Native Reserve, No. 3; thence by the western boundary of the said Reserve to the Avenue Road; thence by the north side of the said road to the southern boundary of the said Reserve; thence by the said boundary to the river Waiwakaiho; thence by the said river to its junction with the river Mangorei; thence by the said river to the western boundary of land belonging to H.
