All Public Notifications which appear in this Gazette, with any Official Signature thereunto annexed, are to be considered as Official Communications made to those persons to whom they may relate, and are to be obeyed accordingly.

IN exercise of the power in me vested for this purpose by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of New Plymouth, passed in the second Session of the said Council, intituled "An Ordinance to provide for the maintenance of Public Works within the Province of New Plymouth," I hereby revoke the Notice constituting districts for the purposes of the said Ordinance dated 7th October, 1855, and published in the Government Gazette of the Province. And in further exercise of the said power I hereby constitute the following Districts for the purposes of the said Ordinance, viz.,—
1st District—All lands North of the Waiwakaiho as far as the Mangoraka.
2nd District—All lands between the Waiwakaiho and Henui, and to seaward of the great Native Reserve on the Mangorei road.
3rd District—All lands between the Waiwakaiho and Henui, south of the seaward boundary of the great Native Reserve on the Mangorei road, and below the junction of the Waiwakaiho and Mangorei; and also all lands between the Mangorei and Henui above the said junction.
4th District—All lands in the Fitzroy and Grey Blocks not comprised in the Town District, lying between the Henui and Huatoki, except section No. 778, together with the sections numbered as follows in the Omata block, viz. 795, 96, 93, 113, 129, and 107.
5th District—First, in the Fitzroy Block the sections numbered as follows, viz., Nos. 22, 30, 31, 42, 43, 44, and so much of No. 45 as lies on the west or left bank of the Huatoki. Secondly, in the Grey Block the sections numbered as follows, viz., Nos. 55, 56, 57, 58, 68, 69, 70, 71, 480, 481, 482, 483, 484, 491, 492, 493, 494, 495, 501, 502, 503, 504, 505, 506, 513, 514, 515, 516, 778, 780, 781, 782, 782a, 782b, and also such part of Nos. 59, 72, 485, 485a, 485b, 496, 507, 508, 517, and 518a, as lies on the left bank of the Huatoki. Thirdly, in the Omata Block the sections numbered as follows, viz., Nos. 76, 83, 84, 85, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 94, 95, 95a, 99, 100.
6th District—All lands in the Fitzroy and Grey Blocks not comprised in any of the preceding districts, or in the Town district. Secondly, in the Omata Block, all lands within the following boundary:—the Paritutu line from the sea to the inland angle of section No. 54; thence in a westerly direction along the south side of No. 54; thence in a southerly direction along the east sides of sections Nos. 79 and 81; thence in a westerly direction along the south side of No. 81; thence in a southerly direction along the East side of No. 86; thence in a westerly direction along the south side of No. 86; thence down the Nga-karanui to its junction with the Tapuae; thence down the Tapuae to the boundary of the Omata block; thence down the said boundary to the sea.
7th District—In the Omata block the sections numbered as follows, viz., Nos. 80, 92, 101, 102, 109, 110, 111, 113, 112, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 121, 132, 98, 82, 78, 114, 106, 103, 104, 15, 120.
8th District—All lands South-west of the boundary of the Omata block.
9th District—All lands lying between the Waiwakaiho and Mangorei rivers.
This Notice is published with the approval of the Provincial Council.
