Rifle Company,

Bell Company.

Each Company to elect its own officers and frame its own regulations subject to approval.

Settlers who enrol at the present time, or on arrival in the Province, to be exempt from Militia service—And also that the Militia be forthwith embodied.

Volunteers for the Rifle Corps are requested to apply to the Rifle Corps Committee.

For the Omata Company can enrol their names at the District Post Office, Omata.

For the New Plymouth Company—will be enrolled by Mr. Hughes, Brougham-street.

For the Grey Company—will be enrolled by Mr. Hughes, Brougham-street.

For the Bell Company—will be enrolled at the District Post Office, Bell Block.

I HEREBY NOTIFY that the undermentioned Rural Lands will be put up to Auction at the Crown Lands\' Office, New Plymouth, on Saturday the 23rd day of June, 1855, at 11 o\'clock, a.m.

Ten per cent of the purchase money to be deposited at the sale, and the remainder paid within one month, or the deposit forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Surveys between the Henui and the Western boundary of the Omata Block having been completed, sales of land in the Omata district between the above limits will be resumed on and after Wednesday the 2nd of May, 1855.

IN exercise of the power in me vested for this purpose by the Ordinance of the Province, Session 2, No. 9, intituled "An Ordinance to provide for the maintenance of Public Works within the Province of New Plymouth"—I hereby appoint that an Instalment of one-fourth of the amount of the Rate of One Shilling and sixpence per acre imposed under the authority of the said Ordinance, on all lands within the Second District by the General Meeting for the said District convened and held for the purposes of the said Ordinance on the 24th day of February last shall be due and payable to the Provincial Treasurer at his Office in the Town of New Plymouth on Monday the 7th day of May next. And a further instalment of one-fourth of the said Rate shall be due and payable to the said Treasurer at his said Office on Monday the 4th day of June next.
