Plymouth on Monday the 6th day of August next. And the second and last instalment of one half of the said Rate shall be
due and payable to the said Treasurer at
his said Office on Monday the 3rd day of

WAIWAKAIHO FERRY.
IN exercise of the powers in me vested for
this purpose by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the
Province of New Plymouth, intituled, "An
Ordinance to establish and regulate Ferries"
I, the Superintendent of the said Province,
with the approval of the Provincial Council
thereof, hereby establish a Public Ferry for
Passengers and Sheep, on the River Waiwakaiho, at the place where the Devon
road crosses the said River—such Ferry to
be called the "Waiwakaiho Ferry."
And in further exercise of the said powers
I, the said Superintendent, with the approval of the said Council hereby fix the following dues to be taken at the Waiwakaiho
Ferry (videlicet)—
PASSENGERS.
Passengers . . . . 2d. each
Single Passenger . . . . 4d.
SHEEP.
Any number not exceeding four . . . 4d. for
[the whole
Any number exceeding four . . 1d. per head
And in further exercise of the said powers
I, the said Superintendent, hereby appoint
WIREMU TE AHOAHO
to be Ferry-keeper at the Waiwakaiho
Ferry.

the Province of New Plymouth, intituled

Ferries" I, the Superintendent of the said
Province, with the approval of the Provincial Council thereof, hereby make the
following Regulation for the Waiwakaiho
Ferry.
Any person who shall wilfully destroy,
damage, remove, or interfere with any rope,
chain, punt, boat, canoe, or other article or
thing belonging to the said Ferry shall forfeit any sum not exceeding forty shillings
to be sued for by any person authorised in
that behalf by the Superintendent by writing under his hand.

cleared for home consumption or exportation previous to the above date :—
