Mr. C. T. BATKIN
to be Clerk in the Superintendent's Office, also to be Storekeeper for the Province. The appointments to date from the 1st of October 1854.

THIS Office will be open every Wednesday till further notice, for personal applications to the Storekeeper's Department.

HEADS of Provincial Departments are requested to send in statements to the Storekeeper's Office of the stores respectively held by them on the 1st instant. In any case where a survey did not take place on the transfer of any Department from the General Government to the Provincial, a statement is required of the stores or other property then held.

A SPECIAL MEETING of the Justices of the Peace for the Town and Province of New Plymouth will be holden at the Resident Magistrate's Court at New Plymouth on Tuesday the 6th day of February next at twelve o'clock noon for the purpose of forming a Jury List for the ensuing year.
