AN ORDINANCE
TO FACILITATE THE ACQUISITION OF NATIVE LANDS WITHIN THE
PROVINCE OF NEW PLYMOUTH.

Title.
Preamble.

  1. Moneys paid on or before 1st May, 1854, in advance for purchase of Crown Lands to bear interest chargeable on the General Revenue of the Province.
  2. Interest payable to the holders of the receipts of the Commissioner of Crown Lands.
  3. Limitation of the amount for which single receipts are to be given.
  4. Interest not to be payable after 31st December, 1855.
  5. Saving of prior charges on the General Revenue.

AN ORDINANCE to facilitate the acquisition of Native Lands within the Province of New Plymouth.

Whereas it is expedient that a sum of money should without delay be raised for the purpose of extinguishing the Native Title within such districts of the Province of New Plymouth as the Native tribes may be willing to cede, And whereas divers persons may be willing to make immediate advances of money to the Commissioner of Crown Lands acting within the Province
