AN ORDINANCE
TO AUTHORISE THE RAISING OF A LOAN FOR THE PURCHASE OF
NATIVE LANDS WITHIN THE PROVINCE OF NEW PLYMOUTH.

  1. Superintendent empowered to raise a Loan.
  2. Superintendent to issue Debentures.
  3. Debentures to bear date the day on which the money thereby secured is paid.
  4. Debentures to have priority according to date.
  5. Superintendent may discharge Debentures on three months notice.
  6. Limitation of the amount secured by a single Debenture.
  7. Regulation of Transfers.
  8. Saving of prior charges on the General Revenue.

AN ORDINANCE to authorise the raising of a Loan for the Purchase of Native Lands within the Province of New Plymouth.

Whereas it is expedient to authorise the raising of a Loan to be applied in the purchase of Native Lands within the Province of New Plymouth.

Be it therefore enacted by the Superintendent of the Province of New Plymouth, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council thereof, as follows :β€”

  1. It shall be lawful for the Superintendent to raise a Loan, not exceeding in amount the sum of Β£5000, upon the security of the General Revenue of the Province, to be applied in the purchase of Native Lands within the Province.
