PROCLAMATION.

IN exercise of the power in this behalf in me vested, I, the Superintendent of the Province of New Plymouth, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the second Session of the Provincial Council of the said Province shall be holden at the Council Chamber, in the Town of New Plymouth, in the said Province, and shall commence on Monday, the second day of October next, at Eleven o'clock in the forenoon.

Given under my hand at New Plymouth, in the Province of New Plymouth, this sixteenth day of September One thousand eight hundred and fifty-four.

New Plymouth, 16th Sept., 1854.

I HEREBY give notice, that with the approval of His Excellency the Officer Administering the Government, bearing date the 16th of June, 1854, Victoria Park and 23 Town Allotments adjoining are temporarily reserved "as a Quarantine Ground for scabby sheep."

Any person depasturing cattle or sheep on the above mentioned reserve without a written License from this Office will be proceeded against.

New Plymouth, 16th Sept., 1854.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon on Saturday the 30th of September, for the occupation, until the 31st of December next, of the Reserve appropriated as a Quarantine Ground for scabby sheepβ€”the occupier undertaking to take charge of such scabby sheep as may be ordered into Quarantine at a weekly sum per head, to be specified in the Tender. The occupier is to be at liberty to depasture neat cattle or horses, but not sheep, on any surplus feed; and will be bound to fence against adjoining lands, at a distance therefrom of six feet, if called upon by the occupier of such lands.

NOTICE.

Superintendent's Office,
New Plymouth, 13th Sept., 1854.

IT is intended to divide the unenclosed Town lands of New Plymouth into separate districts for depasturing Sheep and Horned Cattle. Tenders will be received at this Office until noon on Monday September 18th for Licenses conferring the sole and exclusive right of Pasturage within the several districts. Particulars as to boundaries and other terms may be learnt on application.
