IT is hereby notified that the piece of ground specified below has been temporarily reserved under Clause XVI, of “The Southland Waste Lands Act, 1867.”

SCHOOL RESERVE.

Situated in the Longwood District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, being a rectangular block of land 10 chains square, fronting on the north-east side of the Island Bush at Orepuki.

IT is hereby notified that all that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 5a., 2r., and 12p., adjoining section 6, block V, Mabel district, bounded by the Makarewa River and the Government road, formerly reserved from sale, will be re-open for application on and after the 1st day of July, 1870.

PROCLAMATION.

By William Wood, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Southland.

In pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, I, the said Superintendent, do hereby proclaim and declare that the cell numbered one in the Lock-up at Lowther, in the said Province, shall be used as a Public Gaol until further provision is otherwise made in that behalf.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Southland, this twenty-first day of May, One thousand eight hundred and seventy.
