IT is hereby notified that the following places have been temporarily appointed Quarantine Grounds for passengers arriving at the ports of Southland in vessels which shall have been declared by the medical officer, duly appointed for the purpose, to have on board any person suffering from any infectious or contagious disease.

QUARANTINE GROUNDS—PROVINCE OF SOUTHLAND.

At the Bluff Harbor—all that parcel of land situated at Tewai’s Point, bounded on the north and west by the line of low water mark of Bluff Harbor; on the south by the line of low water mark of Foveaux Straits, and on the east by that portion of the line drawn from Trig M. to the Lighthouse on Dog Island, extending from the line of low water mark of the east arm of Bluff Harbor, to the line of low water mark of Foveaux Straits.

At the New River—all that parcel of land situated on the west side of the Mokomoko Inlet, bounded on the North and east by the line of low water mark of New River Estuary and the Mokomoko inlet, and on the south and south west by the line of road forming the northern boundary of Block V., Campbelltown hundreds, and the Native Reserve of Omawai.

At Riverton—all that parcel of land situated at Howell’s Point, being section 12 of Block II., Jacob’s River Hundreds, reserved for the purpose of a Lighthouse Reserve.
