SCHEDULE.
WAIMATUKU EDUCATION DISTRICT.
Bounded on the north by the road line forming the northern boundary of sections Nos. 11, 22, 44, and 53, block X, and 10, 19, 39, and 46, block XI., Jacob’s River Hundred; on the east by the Waimatuku Stream; on the south by the Riverton and Wallacetown Road; towards the south-west by the road forming the south-western boundary of sections Nos. 19, 20, 21, and 43, block VII., of the aforesaid Hundred; and on the west by the Aparima River.

IT is hereby notified that W. H. CALDER, Esq., has been elected by the Provincial Council to be a member of the Education Board in the room of George Lumsden, Esq., resigned.

PROCLAMATION.
By the Honorable JOHN PARKIN TAYLOR, Superintendent of the Province of Southland.
WHEREAS by the “Thistle Ordinance, 1862,” it is enacted that the Superintendent may by proclamation direct that the said Ordinance shall come into operation within any district, and by the same proclamation declare the limits thereof: Now therefore, I, John Parkin Taylor, Superintendent of the Province of Southland, do hereby proclaim and declare that the provisions of the said “Thistle Ordinance, 1862,” shall come into operation within the following districts, constituted under the provisions of the “Representation Ordinance, 1864,” that is to say, the districts of Invercargill, Riverton, Campbelltown, New River, and Jacob’s River, as the same are defined in the Schedule to the aforesaid Ordinance, and that such operation shall take effect on and after the first day of December next ensuing.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Southland, this fourth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
New River, Province of Southland.
Marine Department, Wellington, 24th June, 1868.
IT is hereby notified for general information, that from and after the seventh day of January, 1869, the Pilot Establishment at present maintained at the entrance to New River, in the Province of Southland, will be discontinued.
The Masters of all Vessels trading to Invercargill, are warned to prepare for this change.

SUPREME COURT.
NOTICE is hereby given that the half-yearly sitting of the Supreme Court will be held in the Council Hall, Invercargill, on Thursday, the twelfth day of November current, at ten o’clock forenoon, and that the said sitting immediately upon the opening of the Court will be adjourned to such day as shall be then named.
