The Cattle Trespass Ordinance, 1866, Amendment Ordinance, 1867.

Short Title.

  1. The Short Title of this Ordinance shall be “The Cattle Trespass Ordinance, 1866, Amendment Ordinance, 1867.”

Repeal of part of Sec. 8 of “Cattle Trespass Ordinance, 1866.”

  1. So much of the third section of the said Ordinance as relates to the interpretation of the term “sufficient fence” together with schedule B to the said Ordinance is hereby repealed.

Interpretation of term “sufficient fence.”

  1. The term “sufficient fence” in the said Ordinance shall as regards sheep goats and pigs be taken to mean a fence of the kind described in schedule B2 to this Ordinance and shall as regards horned and neat Cattle Horses Mules and Asses be taken to mean a fence of the kind described in Schedule B1 to this Ordinance and shall as regards every description of Cattle be taken to mean any fence of the several kinds described in Schedule B3 to this Ordinance.

Fees to whom payable.

  1. The fees and charges set forth in Schedule E to the said Ordinance shall be payable to the Pound-keeper of every pound containing a paddock which shall have been notified by the Superintendent in the Government Gazette of the Province to be a sufficient Paddock for the purpose of maintaining Cattle impounded. And the fees and charges set forth in the Schedule B1 to this Ordinance shall be payable to the Pound-keeper of every pound which shall not contain any such paddock and which shall be notified by the Superintendent in the Government Gazette of the Province to be a pound without a sufficient paddock.

  2. This Ordinance and every Schedule thereto shall be read and construed as part of the said recited Ordinance.
