THE following occupiers of land in the several Hundreds below mentioned have been elected Wardens for the respective Hundreds, in terms of the 42nd Clause of “The Southland Waste Lands Act, 1865”:—

IT is hereby notified that, under the provisions of Clause 16 of “The Southland Waste Land Act, 1865,” I have temporarily reserved the Lands hereinafter described for the use of the Provincial Government:—
All that parcel of land, bounded on the north by an east and west line in transit with the top of Ferndudlaw Hill; on the east by Block Nos. I. and III., Apa ... prima Hundred, and Block Nos. VIII., XIII., V., III., I., and XVII., Jacob’s River Hundred; on the south and south-west by the ocean, and on the north-west by the Waiau River.
All those pieces of land in the Hokanui District, marked on the Selection Map in the Chief Surveyor’s office, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, and A¹, B¹, C¹, D¹, Dn¹, F¹, containing by admeasurement 15,265 acres.
Also that parcel of land in Taringatura District, marked on the Selection Map in the Chief Surveyor’s office A, containing by admeasurement 2,000 acres.

IT is hereby notified that Sections No. 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 47, and 48, Block I., Winton District, and Sections No. 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, Block IX., New River Hundred, which were temporarily reserved for Railway purposes, will be open for free selection on or after the 1st day of May, 1865.
