THE attention of sheep owners is
called to the following Clause of
the "Sheep Ordinance, 1866," and it is
hereby notified that I have appointed the
Provincial Treasury to be the place where
brands may be registered.

CLAUSE IV.
"Every owner of Sheep shall cause
"a correct description and
"impression of his brand and
"permanent mark to be registered
"in an office to be appointed by
"the Superintendent for that
"purpose, and every owner
"neglecting so to register his
"brand and permanent mark
"before the first day of January
"1867, shall be liable to a
"penalty not exceeding five
"pounds, and for every week
"that he shall continue such
"neglect after the first conviction
"he shall be liable to an
"additional penalty of not more
"than five pounds."
