PROCLAMATION
By JAMES A. R. MENZIES, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Southland.
IN PURSUANCE of the power in me vested, I do hereby proclaim and declare that the Waste Lands of the Crown, comprised within the boundaries hereinafter described, shall be Quarantine Grounds within the meaning of, and under the provisions of the "Diseased Cattle Act, 1861."

Bounded on the north by a right line drawn from trigonometrical station W, on the Ocean Beach; eastwards to the River Oreti, at the south-west angle of Block XVII, Invercargill Hundred; on the east, south, and west by the Oreti River and Estuary and the ocean.

Bounded on the north by the Ferry Reserve, New River Hundred; on the east by the west boundary of Block I, of the said Hundred to its intersection of the Tomoporakau Stream; thence by the Tomoporakau to the Riverton Road; on the south by the Riverton Road to the Oreti River; on the west by the Oreti River.

Bounded on the north-west by a right line drawn from trigonometrical station G.G., Invercargill Hundred, to the east angle of Section 5, Block XVII, of the said Hundred; on the south-west by a right line drawn from the said section 5, towards the south-west angle of section 9, Block III of the said Hundred, until the said line cuts the Estuary of Waihopai; on the east by the said Estuary.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Southland, this twenty-first day of January, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
