PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT
GAZETTE.

Vol. 2.] FRIDAY, 2ND SEPTEMBER, 1864. [No. 27.

PROCLAMATION.

By JAMES A. R. MENZIES, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Southland.

WHEREAS by the seventh section of the “Police Ordinance, 1862,” it is provided that clauses 4, 5 and 6, of the said Ordinance, shall come into operation within the Electoral District of any other town, other than Invercargill, in the Province of Southland, by Proclamation published in the Government Gazette, of the Province of Southland, and upon a day to be named in such Proclamation.

Now, therefore, I, the said Superintendent, do hereby proclaim and declare that the provisions of clauses 4, 5 and 6, of the said Ordinance, shall come into operation in the Electoral District of the town of Campbelltown, on the seventh day of September current.

Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Southland, this first day of September, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

IT is hereby notified, that I have appointed

MR. ROBERT MACAULAY,

to be an Inspector of Cattle, in the Province of Southland, under the provisions of the “Diseased Cattle Act, 1861.”
