I hereby authorise the Wharfinger at Campbelltown, from and after the fifteenth day of July current, to levy the following Tolls, Dues, and Wharfages, for the use of the said Jetties, namely:

John Feild Deck appointed a Coroner.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

JOHN FEILD DECK, Esq., M.D.,

of Invercargill, in the Province of Southland, to be a Coroner in the District of Southland.

By His Excellency Sir GEORGE GREY, Knight Commander of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same, &c., &c.

To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting:

WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled the “Coroners Act, 1858,” the Governor is empowered in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty from time to time by warrant under his hand to appoint fit persons to be Coroners for the several Districts of the Colony, who shall hold their office during pleasure.

And whereas, I, the said Sir George Grey the Governor as aforesaid of the said Colony, did by warrant under my hand bearing date the third day of February, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, appoint

WILLIAM GEORGE McCLURE

to be a Coroner for the District of Southland, in the Province of Southland, in the said Colony:

And whereas it appears unto me expedient that the said William George McClure should cease to hold the said office:

Now know ye, that I, Sir George Grey, the Governor as aforesaid of the said Colony, by virtue and in exercise of all powers and authorities in this behalf enabling me, Do hereby revoke and make void the appointment of the said William George McClure to the said office.

Given under my hand at the Government House at Auckland, this Seventh day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.
