PROCLAMATION

By James A. R. Menzies, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Southland.

IN pursuance of the power vested in me in that behalf, I, the said Superintendent,

do hereby proclaim and declare that portion of the building recently erected upon Block XII., Campbelltown, which is on the west side, and is subdivided into four cells, and corridor, shall be a Public Gaol from and after the day of publication of this proclamation.

Given under my hand, this fifteenth day of December, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

Great North Road, Tomoporakau Creek. Construct bridge of 16 feet span; forming approaches thereto, and road, 8 chains in all, and cutting side drains. Also, north of section 6, Ryal Bush: cutting outfall drain, about 12 chains; constructing culvert over do 2 feet × 2 feet, 24 feet long; cutting side drains and filling-up roadway, 2 chains.
