We, the undersigned, Auditors of the Provincial Treasurer’s accounts for the Province of Southland, for the period ending 30th September, 1861, having examined the same; find that they are correctly stated, duly authorised, and properly vouched; that the Revenue was Six Thousand one hundred and three pounds, nineteen shillings and eightpence; the Expenditure, One Thousand three hundred and sixty pounds, fifteen shillings and fourpence; and that there remained in the hands of the Provincial Treasurer a balance of Four Thousand eight hundred and fifty-four pounds, four shillings, and fourpence.
