IT is hereby notified that I have appointed
THEOPHILUS HEALP, Esq.,
to be Chief Surveyor of the Province of
Southland; the appointment to date from
the 18th instant.

Waste Land Board Office,
Invercargill, 24th September 1861.

IN conformity with the 60th clause of
the Waste Land Regulations for the
Province of Otago (1st April 1856), I
hereby notify that the following persons
have duly taken out for the present year
Depasturing Licenses for the Invercargill
Hundred:—

Thomas Hamilton
Thomas Barclay
Thos. & Ralph Swale.

Invercargill, 24th September 1861.

WITH reference to the previous notice
from this Office, publishing names of persons to whom Depasturing
Licenses have been issued within the
Hundred of Invercargill for the year
1861, I hereby call a Meeting to be held,
in conformity with the provisions of the
Waste Land Board Regulations for the
Province of Otago (1st April 1856), at
the house of Mr. Thomas Barclay, Long
Bush, on Thursday, the 3rd day of
October next, for the purpose of electing
among themselves Wardens for the
Hundred of Invercargill, who shall have
the regulation and appointment for the
current year of the right of pasturage
upon the Waste Lands of the Crown
within the said Hundred, and also be
entrusted with the other powers specified
in the said Regulations.

NOTICE.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that WILLIAM
GEORGE M’CLURE, of Invercargill, in
the Province of Southland, has this day,
in terms of an Ordinance passed by the
Legislative Council of New Munster,
Session I., No. 2, of 1849, and intituled
“An Ordinance to define the qualifications
and to provide for the remuneration
in certain cases of Medical Practitioners,”
submitted for my examination his Diploma,
admitting him a Member of the
Royal College of Surgeons of England,
also a Diploma admitting him a Member
of the College of Physicians, Glasgow.
