WANTED, Tenders for the following Works, viz. —
1st. Cutting and Filling Balmacewen Road, near Kirkwood’s.
2nd. Widening about 26 Chains Road Line from Ross to N. Booth’s, Water-of-Leith.
Tenders, accompanied by deposit of 10 per cent., will be received by the undersigned up to Thursday, November 2nd, at 4 p.m.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted by the Board.

TENDERS are invited for the erection of a Timber Bridge between the Henley and Maungatua Subdivisions of the above districts.
Plan and specifications to be seen at the house of Mr. Robert Petrie, Lake Waipori.
Tenders to be addressed to the Chairman of the Outram Road Board, Outram, not later than Noon of Saturday, 11th November.
Successful tenderer will be required to lodge deposit for due fulfillment of contract.

NORTH-EAST VALLEY ROAD DISTRICT.
TENDERS are invited as under:—
No. 1. To Form about 8 Chains, 16 feet wide, and 12 Chains, 9 feet wide, and one Culvert at Rothesay.
No. 2. To Form about 5 Chains of Road, North-East Valley, and Break and Spread about 50 yards of Rotten Rock and Culvert; also 15 yards good Blue Stone, 2½-inch Metal, and 6 loads of Screenings for Ferguslie.
No. 3. To Form 18 Chains, more or less, on Pine Hill, 16 feet wide, 2 x 12 Culvert.
No. 4. 100 Yards of good Blue Stone, 3½-inch Metal, and a portion of Road Line regraded for Mount Cargill Road.
No. 5. To Fence Upper Side of New Road through Mr. Grant’s property, at per chain, with post and 3 rails.
No. 1 will be shown on Monday, the 6th November, at 10 a.m., at Rothesay.
No. 2 on same day at 1 p.m., North East Valley, at Signal Hill Road.
No. 3 on Tuesday, the 7th November, at 9 a.m., at house of the Clerk.
No. 4 on Tuesday, the 7th November, at 1 p.m., at Toll-house.
Specifications for 1, 2, 3, 5 at Cattle Market Hotel, North East Valley.
Specifications for No. 4 at Upper Junction.
Tenders can be left at North-East Valley School house on or before the 7th November at 2 p.m., having enclosed 5 per cent. on amount of tender, and the lowest or any not necessarily accepted by the Board.

Contractors meet at Weatherston’s at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th.
Bush Falling, Formation, and Bridge on Dean’s Road. Contractors meet at Mr. Dean’s house at 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 9th.
Formation about 30 Chains on Heyward Road, Deborah Bay. Contractors to meet at junction of Purakanui and Heyward Roads at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8th.
Tenders to be lodged at the Board’s Office by noon on Monday, November 13th.

MAKAREWA ROAD DISTRICT.
ORDER.
THE Makarewa District Road Board have duly notified their intention to adopt a new line of road along the south side of Section 44, Block VIII., New River Hundred, in lieu of the track which runs through the said section, to which exchange the owner and occupier of the said section has signified his assent.
The said Board, after considering the objections lodged, still believe it expedient to carry out the proposed exchange, and therefore do hereby and by virtue of the thirty-third section of the “Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” and of the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871,” direct that this new line shall be adopted according to plan and specifications, and that it shall be in lieu of the road that it is herein specified it is intended to supersede.
