NOTICE is hereby given that the sections in the Government Township of Craigleith will be offered for sale by public auction by Mr. R. B. Martin, at the Provincial Council Hall, Dunedin, on Friday, the 20th day of October, 1876, at the upset price opposite each section :

OTAGO WASTE LANDS ACT, 1872.

SECTION 65, SUB-SECTION 1.

TENTH SCHEDULE.

District of Clyde,
11th September, 1876.

To the District Land Officer at Clyde.

I HEREBY give notice that I intend to construct a Water-race for irrigation, domestic, and agricultural purposes, commencing at a point in Butcher’s Gully at the Gorge, about ¼ of a mile above Michael Kett’s old race, and terminating at my farm, Sections 2, 3, and 4, Block I., Cairn Hill District.

The length of such race is 2 ½ miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is N.E. and S.W.

The mean depth and breadth of such race is two feet by one foot, and it is capable of carrying one sluice head of water.

Any person objecting to the issue of a license to the above-named applicant must lodge his objection in writing at my office within fourteen clear days from the date hereof.

October 5th, 1876, is the day fixed for deciding this application (if unopposed) and notifying objections (if any).

TENDERS will be received at the Government Offices, Dunedin, until noon of Friday, 22nd September, 1876, for the Supply of Horses, &c., in connection with prison labor for six months, commencing on 1st October next.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Inspector of Buildings, Dunedin, and from the Clerk of School Committee or Teacher at the several places above stated.

Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for School-house or Residence at ——” (as the case may be).

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

TENDERS will be received at the Office of the Secretary for Works until noon of Tuesday, 3rd October, 1876, for Flushing Race, Contract No. 18, Mount Ida Water Works. Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at Police Camp, Naseby. Tenders to be indorsed “Tender for Contract No. 18, Mount Ida Water Works.” The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

Plans and specifications may be seen and forms of tender obtained at the Office of the Provincial Engineer, Dunedin, and at Police Station, Lawrence. Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Contract No. ——.” The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.
