SECOND SCHEDULE.

Sections of the "Otago Municipal Corporations Ordinance, 1865," applicable to the Incorporated Town of Avenal, with respective modifications set opposite the numbers of the Sections.

NUMBERS OF SECTIONS. MODIFICATIONS.
Section Five The style shall be "The Corporation of the Town of Avenal instead of "The Corporation of the City of Dunedin."
Section Twenty-eight Instead of the words "City of Dunedin" in this Section the words "the Incorporated Town of Avenal."
Section Ninety-eight Instead of the words "one hundred thousand pounds" in this Section, the words "ten thousand pounds."

THIRD SCHEDULE.

Boundaries of the Incorporated Town of Avenal as delineated on the record maps of the said town, deposited in the Lands Registry Office, in Invercargill, in the said Province.

BOUNDARIES OF MUNICIPALITY OF AVENAL.

All that parcel of land in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement 85a. 0r. 28p., more or less, being section 28 of block 1 on the Record Map of Invercargill Hundred and the adjacent roads, and comprising the private townships of Harewood and Harrisville, bounded on the north by a public road, 100 links, by section 29 of said block, 2750 links by the main north road, 100 links by section 29 aforesaid, 1300 links and by a public road, 112 links on the east by section 42 of said block, being a park reserve, 1994 links on the south by a public road, 114 links by section 27 of aforesaid block, 1300 links by the main north road, 200 links by section 37 aforesaid, 4080 links, and by a public road 100 links, and towards the west by the Waihopai estuary to the commencing point.

Given under my hand, and issued under the public seal of the Province of Otago, at Dunedin, this first hundred and seventy-six.

LAND ON DEFERRED PAYMENTS.

KURIWAO AND WAIPAHEE DISTRICTS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following applications for Licenses to occupy Land under Deferred Payments have been received at this Office.

Ronald McDonald; Section 6, Block 5, Kuriwao District.

Theophilus White, Section 59, Block 7, Waipahee District.

Objections (if any) must be lodged in writing on or before Monday, the 18th September, 1876, at the Land Office, Dunedin.

SALE OF RUN No. 465.

5,000 ACRES ON THE MATUKITUKI RIVER.

ON WEDNESDAY, 27TH SEPTEMBER, 1876.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lease for Ten Years of Run No. 465, bounded towards the North by Bush and Crown Lands, towards the South by Run No. 458, towards the East by Corner Burn, and towards the West by Bush and Crown Lands, being about 5000 acres (more or less) on the Matukituki River, north-west of Run No. 333, will be offered for sale by public auction at the Survey Office, Queenstown, on Wednesday, the 27th day of September next, at noon, in terms of the "Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872," at the upset price of highest annual rent of 1d. per acre.

The bidder of the highest annual rental, in addition to the assessment payable under the 138th clause of the said Act, shall be the purchaser. Assessment of the dwelling and six pence for every head of great cattle or seven pence for every head of small cattle, depastured on the Run, will be charged, but the minimum stock on which assessment will be charged shall not be less than 450 sheep.

Lease to commence from the sixth day of April, 1876, and expires on the 6th day of April, 1886, or to determine on twelve months’ notice from the Commissioner of Crown Lands to the lessee to that effect, without liability on the part of Government or Waste Lands Board for compensation for improvement.

The right to take a road five chains broad, for stock travelling, is retained by Government. No previous leasee on purchasing the Lease to be entitled to exercise a pre-emptive right to purchase land on Run.

Improvements enhancing the value of the Run made by Lessee to be paid by the incoming tenant before obtaining possession. A deposit of one-tenth of the purchase-money shall be paid on fall of the hammer, and the balance within a month. The annual assessment will be payable on the first day of October of each year, excepting the first period from the sixth day of April to the 1st day of October, 1876; when the proportion, namely £3 ros., will be payable at auction.

TUAPEKA AND TABLE HILL DISTRICTS.

SALE AT LAWRENCE ON TUESDAY, 10TH OCTOBER, 1876.

NOTICE is hereby given that Sections 46 and 103, Block A, Tuapeka District, containing 1 acre and 2 acres 3 roods and 34 poles respectively, will be offered for Sale by Public Auction by Mr. R. B. Martin at the Survey Office, Lawrence, on Tuesday, 10th October next, at 2 o’clock p.m., at the upset price of £3 per acre. (No. 1942.)

Also, at the same time and place, Section 64, Block 4, Table Hill District, containing about 26 acres, at the upset price of 25s. per acre.

Subject to £5 5s. survey fees. (No. 1915.)
