Between Thomas Crossan, Plaintiff, and Franz Julius, defendant.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by virtue of a writ of fieri facias, to me directed and delivered, issued out of this Honourable Court in this cause, on the seventh day of June last, and in pursuance of “The Execution of Judgments against Real Estate Act, 1867,” all the estate and interest of the above-named Franz Julius, the execution debtor, in all that parcel of land, containing by admeasurement one rood (more or less), situate in the private township of Milton, in the Province of Otago, in New Zealand, being section numbered twelve (12), block one (L) on the plan of subdivision of the private township of Milton, deposited by George Elder Brown in the office of the Registrar of Deeds for the Province of Otago, and being part of rural section one hundred and two (102), block twelve (XII), Tokomairiro district, commencing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of said rural section three hundred (300) links from the eastern corner thereof, and thence continuing south-westerly, and bounded on the south-east by the main south road one hundred (100) links, on the south-west by section numbered eleven (11) on said plan two hundred and fifty (250) links, on the north-west by other part of said rural section (shown, but not numbered, on said plan) one hundred (100) links, and on the north-east by section numbered thirteen (13) on said plan two hundred and fifty (250) links to the commencing point.
The memorial of judgment, No. 2026, of which was registered in the office of the Registrar of Deeds in Dunedin, in the Province aforesaid, on the seventh day of June last, has, at the suit of the above-named Thomas Crossan, the execution creditor, been levied upon, and taken in execution, and will be sold by public auction at the Sheriff’s Bailiff’s Office, Supreme Court House, in Dunedin, on Tuesday, the fourteenth day of November, at twelve o’clock at noon, unless the said execution shall be previously satisfied.

The estate and interest of the above-named Franz Julius, the execution debtor, intended to be sold, is an estate in fee-simple, subject to a mortgage of two hundred and fifty pounds, and sixty-five pounds for interest, repayable by forty-eight monthly instalments of six pounds eleven shillings and threepence each.

FIFTY POUNDS REWARD, AND A FREE PARDON TO AN ACCOMPLICE
MALICIOUSLY SETTING FIRE TO TWO STACKS OF OATS
WHEREAS about seven o’clock on the morning of the 10th instant two stacks of oats situate at Holmeside Farm, near Riverton, the property of Matthew Fallow and John A. Hall, value £75 were discovered on fire, by which they were destroyed, and whereas at an inquest held on the 14th instant at the Carriers’ Arms Hotel, Riverton, by F. M. Monckton, Esquire, coroner, to enquire as to the cause of the origin of the said fire, the jury returned the following verdict, “That the stacks were set on fire by some person or persons to the jurors unknown.” Notice is hereby given that a reward of £50 will be paid by the Provincial Government of Otago to any person who will first give such information to the police as shall lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons by whom the said fire was caused; and in addition thereto His Excellency the Governor will be advised to grant a free pardon to an accomplice, not being the person who actually caused the fire, who will give such information as shall lead to a like result.

RUNNING on my Property at Hokanui, for the last eight months, one Light Chesnut Mare, branded CS on off shoulder, being my brand. The mare was my property eighteen months ago, when I sold her to Andrew McLaren, Tokomairiro, and she has since returned to her former home. If not claimed within thirty days from this date she will be sold to defray expenses.

Owner unknown, for trespassing on James Walker’s Paddock, Peninsula, for which 8s. driving fees are claimed, and in default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, at South Dunedin, on the 21st day of September, 1876, at twelve o’clock noon.

Owner unknown, for trespassing on Waipahi Station, for which one pound driving expenses is claimed, and in default of being released the above mare will be sold at the Public Pound at Popotunohu on Friday, the 29th day of September, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.
