CORRECTED NOTICE.

RATEPAYERS are hereby notified that on Wednesday, the 16th of August, 1876, a General Rate of One Shilling in the Pound was made for the year ending June 30th, 1877; and that the same is payable on the 16th of September, 1876.

PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

I HEREBY give notice that the Peninsula Road Board has determined to Extend the Time for receiving objections against the assessment for the current year to Saturday, 2nd September proximo.

Parties objecting must hand in their objections in writing not later than 12 o’clock on the above mentioned day.

The Board will meet at 1.30 p.m. on that day to consider objections, make amendments if necessary, and confirm the assessment.

SPECIAL RATE FOR THE FLAGSTAFF SUB-DIVISION OF THE HALF-WAY BUSH ROAD DISTRICT.

THE Half-way Bush Road Board hereby gives notice, that it is the intention of the Board to Levy a Special Rate of One Shilling (1s.) in the Pound on all rateable property within the Flagstaff Sub-division of the Half-way Bush Road District, for the period ending June 30th, 1877, and that the said Special Rate will be made at a Meeting of the Board, to be held in the School-house, Flagstaff, on Thursday evening, August 31st, 1876, at 7 o’clock p.m.

The rate book is open for the inspection of all rated at Bunting’s Store, Half-way Bush.

Objections against rate or assessment (if any) must be lodged in writing with the Clerk on or before August 31st, 1876.

THE Half-way Bush Road Board hereby gives notice that it is the intention of the Board to Levy a Special Rate of One Shilling (1s.) in the Pound on all rateable property within the Waikari Sub-division of the Half-way Bush Road Board District, for the period ending June 30th, 1877, and that the said special rate will be made at a meeting of the Board, to be held in the School-house, Waikari, on Thursday evening, August 31, 1876, at seven o’clock p.m.

The rate book is open for the inspection of all rated at Bunting’s Store, Half-Way Bush.

Objections against rate or assessment (if any) must be lodged in writing with the Clerk on or before August 31st, 1876.

Ratepayers whose address is not accurately known will find their assessment notices at the Post Office, Half-Way Bush.

One red and white Heifer Calf, no visible brands, Owner unknown, for trespassing on Gas Works Pad-dock, Dunedin.

In default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound, at South Dunedin, on Friday, the 15th day of September, 1876, at twelve o’clock noon.

IMPOUNDED, on the 19th day of August, 1876, by Charles Hay :

One white Steer, branded like P on the off hip, off ear split, Owner unknown, for trespassing on Deep Dell Run, for which the sum of three shillings and eightpence is claimed for trespass and driving, and in default of being released the above cattle will be sold at the Public Pound at Macraes, on Friday, the 15th day of September, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.

SUPREME COURT CIRCUIT SITTING.

NOTICE is hereby given that a Circuit Court Sitting of the Supreme Court for the despatch of Criminal and Civil business will be helden in the Court House, at Lawrence, on Tuesday, the nineteenth day of September next, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at which time and place all persons bound by recognizances or otherwise to appear as prosecutors, plaintiffs, defendants or witnesses are required to give their attendance.
