PROCLAMATION
By His Honor George Turnbull, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
I, GEORGE TURNBULL, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf by the “Taieri District Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,” and of the powers vested in me as Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that all that road and all that portion of road in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said “Taieri District Roads Lands Ordinance, 1864,” and particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the date of the date hereof, cease to be a public road or thoroughfare, and shall no longer form part of the public road in the road district, in the Province of Otago, mentioned in the Schedule to the said Ordinance.
SCHEDULE.
North Taieri Roads District, thirty-five (35) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from north-east angle of section number 32, irregular block, Taieri to district road, on the south side of blocks II. and III., Taieri; boundaries west by section 24, east by section 25, irregular block, Taieri.

PROCLAMATION
Appointing certain Roads in the Caversham Road District to be Main District Roads.
By His Honor George Turnbull, Esquire, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago.
WHEREAS by the “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871,” it is provided that upon the application of the Road Board of any road district the Superintendent may from time to time, if it shall seem fit so to do, by proclamation appoint that any roads or parts of roads, whether within or upon the boundary of such district, shall be main roads or main district roads: And whereas the Road Board for the Caversham road district have applied to me, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, to appoint the roads hereinafter described to be main district roads:
Now, therefore I, George Turnbull, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Otago, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in this behalf vested in me by the said “Otago Roads Ordinance, 1871,” do hereby appoint the following roads, situate within or upon the boundary of the Caversham road district aforesaid, to be main district roads (that is to say):

All that area in the Province of Otago, containing by admeasurement 5a 3r 23p, more or less, being a road line situate in block VI. and VII., Town District and the Ocean Beach District, commencing at the Main South Road, and extending in a south and south-westerly direction to the ocean; bounded towards the south-west by part of section 13, block VI., one thousand five hundred and fifty (1550) links; towards the north-west by other part of said section 13 and part of 14, seven hundred (700) links; again towards the south-west by parts of sections 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, block VII., and a road line three thousand (3000) links; again towards the north-west by parts of sections 48, 49, and 50, block VII., and a road line one thousand seven hundred and fifty (1750) links; again towards the south-west by sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and part of 7, Ocean Beach District, two thousand eight hundred (2800) links; towards the north-east by the Sand Hills, application 12, block XII., Dunedin and East Taieri, and sections 53, 52, and 51, block VII., two thousand eight hundred (2800) links; towards the south-east by other parts of sections 50, 49, and 48, block VII., one thousand seven hundred and fifty (1750) links; again towards the north-east by other parts of said sections 47, 46, 45, 44, 43, and 42, block VII., and a road line three thousand and fifty (3050) links; again towards the south-east by other part of said section 13, block VI., and a road line seven hundred (700) links; and again towards the north-east by part of section 21, block VII., one thousand six hundred and sixty (1660) links, be all the aforesaid measurements a little more or less, and intersected by Macandrew Road sixty (60) links wide.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 1a or 32p, more or less, being a road line situate in block VII., Town District, bounded towards the south-west by section 12, two thousand (2000) links, more or less, and towards the north-east by sections 11, 10, 9, and part of 8, two thousand (2000) links, more or less.
