Road Board Notices and Tenders




KURI BUSH ROAD DISTRICT.

A MEETING of Ratepayers in the respective sub-divisions of the Kuri Bush Road Board entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held on Saturday, June 24th, at 2 o’clock, to nominate candidates for election in place of those retiring from office.

Places of meeting as under:—
Kuri Bush Subdivision, School-house.—Mr. Wm. Barry, Returning Officer.
Motuipitipi Subdivision, Otaki School-house.
Henry Pannell, Returning Officer.

In the event of a poll being demanded it will be held in the above places on Wednesday, June 28th, from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.

TOWN LANDS NOTICE.

A MEETING of Ratepayers entitled to vote at the ensuing election will be held at the undermentioned places on Saturday, June 17th, at noon, to nominate candidates for election as members for the North Invercargill Road Board:

Winton Subdivision in the Drill-shed, Mossgiel.
North Plains Subdivision at the Schoolhouse.
North Invercargill at the School-house.

In the event of a poll being demanded it will be held in the above places on Thursday, the 22nd June, from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.

OUTRAM ROAD BOARD.

A MEETING of Ratepayers in the respective sub-divisions will be held on the 5th day of June, at 12 o’clock noon, to fill up the vacancies in each subdivision. Places of meeting will be as follows:—
West Taieri Subdivision, Outram Drill-shed.—Peter Graham, Returning Officer.
Henley Subdivision at Mr. Renton’s house, Riverside.—Mr. A. Fleming, Returning Officer.

TAIERI ROAD BOARD.

TENDERS invited for the Formation of 50 Chains of Road (more or less) in the Breadalbane Subdivision.

Tenders to be lodged with the Clerk until noon of 3rd June.

Plans and specifications to be seen at the Clerk’s office.
A. Campbell, Esq., Breadalbane, will point out the road to intending Tenderers on 27th May, 1876.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

TENDER FOR TOLLS.

TENDERS will be received at the office of the Secretary for Lands and Works, Dunedin, until noon of Thursday, 15th June, 1876, for the erection of toll-house and gate at the junction of the Port Chalmers and Blueskin Roads.

Plans and specifications may be seen at the office of the Inspector of Buildings, Dunedin, on and after 8th inst.

The Government does not undertake to accept the lowest or any tender.

GREY ROAD BOARD.

TENDERS Wanted for the Formation of Road from the Main South Road to Railway Station, Greenhills.

Plans and specifications to be seen at the School-house, Greenhills.
Messrs. Allan and Cullen will meet intending Contractors at the Railway Station on Saturday, 3rd June, at one o’clock p.m., to point out the work.
Tenders to be sent to the Chairman of the Board on or before Friday, 2nd June.

FOUNDED on the 4th day of June, 1876, by Henry Moungrain, of Caversham, One dark red Cow, white along back; not visible brand.
Also, one white Mare, white down face, branded like S near shoulder.

Owner unknown. For trespassing in Town Belt, Caversham, and known South Recreation Ground.
If the above cattle are not claimed or taken away before the expiration of fourteen days from the date hereof, they will be sold to defray expenses.
Public Pound, South Dunedin, on Friday the 16th day of June, 1876, at 12 o’clock noon.
