Clutha.

Otanomomo Road District (now Clutha).

a. Fifty-eight (58) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from District Road in section two (2), block twenty-one (21), to District Road on (2), block twenty-six (26), Clutha Survey District: Boundaries—north, part of section two (2), block twenty-one (21); section one (1) and part of section two, block twenty-six (26); south, part section twelve (12), block twenty-one (20); section eleven (11), part of section twelve (12), block twenty-five (25).

b. Nineteen (19) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from District Road on section six (6), block twenty-one (21), to District Road on Section four (4). Boundaries—east, section four (4) and part of six (6), block twenty-one (21); west, section three (3), part of section five (5), block twenty-six (26), Clutha Survey District.

c. Fifty-one (51) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from District Road on section two (2), block twenty-one (21), to Puerua River, on section eight (8), block twenty (20), Clutha Survey District: Boundaries—east, section two (2), block twenty-one (21), sections twelve (12), ten (10), and part of eight (8); block twenty (20); west, section one (1), block twenty-five (25), sections eleven (11), nine (9), and part of seven (7), block twenty-five (25), Clutha Survey District.

d. Forty (40) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from District Road on section six (6), block twenty-six (26), to District Road between blocks twenty-five (25) and twenty-six (26). Boundaries—east, sections two (2), four (4), and part of six (6), block twenty-six (26); west, sections one (1), three (3), and part of five (5), block thirty-one (31), Clutha Survey District.

e. Sixty (60) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from road line between blocks twenty-one (21) and seventeen (17), Clutha Survey District, to Puerua River, on section two (2), block twenty-one (21). Boundaries—north, section one (1) and part of section two (2), block twenty-one (21); south, section eleven (11) and part of section twelve (12), block twenty (20), Clutha Survey District.

f. Forty-five (45) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from District Road between blocks twenty-five (25) and twenty-six (26), to boundary line between sections numbered 6 and 8, block XXV. Boundaries—east, by sections 12, 10, and 8, block XXV.; west, by sections 11, 9, and 7, block XXX., Clutha Survey District, and intersected by a new road line sixty (60) links wide.

PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865,” and of the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that all those roads and all those portions of roads in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1875,” and particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall from and after the date hereof cease to be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer form part of the public roads in the several Road Districts in the Province of Otago mentioned in the Schedule to the said Ordinance.

SCHEDULE.

PENINSULA ROAD DISTRICT.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 2a. R. 8p. more or less being a road line situate in block II Otago Peninsula-Survey District bounded towards the east by part of sections numbered 60 and 1 of 61 two thousand two hundred (2,200) links more or less and towards the west by other parts of said sections numbered 60 and 1 of 61 two thousand four hundred (3,400) links more or less.

JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865,” and of the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that that portion of road in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865,” and particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the date hereof, cease to be a public road or thoroughfare, and shall no longer form part of the public road in the Road District, in the Province of Otago, mentioned in the Schedule to the said Ordinance.

SCHEDULE.

CAVERSHAM ROAD DISTRICT, No. 17.

Four (4) chains in length, sixty (60) links wide from Town Belt to Main South Road, on Section thirteen (13), Block VII., Town District; boundaries—north by City of Dunedin, south by part of Section thirteen (13), Block VII., Town District.

Dated at Dunedin this 16th day of May, 1876.

PROCLAMATION.

Setting apart 2,300 Acres of Land in the Chattoo Hundred for occupation on deferred payments.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

WHEREAS by the 47th section of the Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “The Otago Waste Lands Act, 1872,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, with the advice and consent of the Provincial Council, to set apart in any part of the province districts or blocks of land within which licenses to occupy land and leases thereof on deferred payments may be granted, either exclusively or within which the land shall be open for license or lease on deferred payment, or for sale on immediate payment;
