PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor James Macandrew, Superintendent of the Province of Otago.

JAMES MACANDREW, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Otago, do, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Otago in this behalf, by the “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865,” and of the powers vested in me as Superintendent of the Province of Otago, hereby proclaim and declare that all those roads and all those portions of roads in the Province of Otago, mentioned and referred to in the said “Roads Diversion Ordinance, 1865,” and particularly described in the Schedule hereto, shall, from and after the day of the date hereof, cease to be public roads or thoroughfares, and shall no longer form part of the public roads in the several Road Districts in the Province of Otago, mentioned in the Schedule to the said Ordinance.

SCHEDULE.

15.—Waipori Road District.

  1. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 4p. more or less being a road line situate in Block X. Clarendon Survey District bounded towards the north-west by part of section numbered 7 two thousand one hundred (2,100) links more or less and towards the south-east by other part of said section numbered 7 two thousand (2,000) links more or less.

All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5a. 24p. more or less being an old road line situate in the Clutha Survey District bounded towards the east by sections numbered 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 Block XXXVIII. nine thousand (9,000) links more or less towards the west by sections numbered 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11 Block XLIV. nine thousand (9,000) links more or less and intersected by a new road line one hundred (100) links wide.

  2. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 2a. or. 16p. more or less being an old road line situate in the Clutha Survey District bounded towards the north by section numbered 2 Block XLIV. three thousand five hundred (3,500) links more or less and towards the south by section numbered 16 Block I. Warepa Survey District three thousand five hundred (3,500) links more or less.

  3. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5a. 1r. 24p. more or less being an old road line situate in the Clutha Survey District bounded towards the east by sections numbered 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12, Block XLIV. nine thousand (9,000) links more or less towards the west by section numbered 25 Block I. Warepa, and 1 Block CI. Clutha nine thousand (9,000) links more or less and intersected by a new road line one hundred (100) links wide.

  4. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 5a. 1r. 20p. more or less being an old track situate in Block I. Warepa Survey District bounded towards the north by part of section numbered 24 and section 25 five thousand one hundred (5,100) links more or less towards the south by other part of section numbered 24 and section 25 five thousand six hundred fifty (5,650) links more or less and intersected by a new road line one hundred (100) links wide.

SCHEDULE.

6.—Matauha Road District (now Hawksbury).

  1. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 8a. or. 2p. more or less being an old road line situate in Block IV. Hawksbury Survey District bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered 49, 48, 47, 46, and part of 45, fifteen thousand nine hundred sixty (15,960) links more or less and towards the south-east by sections numbered 60, 59, 58, 57, 56, 55, 54, 53, and part of 52 sixteen thousand (16,000) links more or less.

  2. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 70. or. 14p. more or less being an old road line situate in Block VI. Hawksbury Survey District bounded towards the north-west by sections numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, fourteen thousand one hundred fifty (14,150) links more or less and towards the south-east by other parts of said sections numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and part of 19, fourteen thousand two hundred ten (14,210) links more or less.

  3. All that area in the Province of Otago containing by admeasurement 2a. or. 18p. more or less being an old road line situate in Block VI. Hawksbury Survey District bounded towards the north by parts of sections numbered 2 and 3 four thousand two hundred and twenty-seven (4,227) links more or less, and towards the south by other 2 and 3 four thousand two hundred twenty-seven (4,227) links more or less.
